For years, dental occlusion had been largely a matter of guesswork for dentists. Articulation paper, waxes, pressure indicator paste, Electromyography etc. were all dentists had to assess and balance the forces of occlusion. Most of these methods are not sensitive enough to detect simultaneous contact, and none measure both biting time and force.
There has long been the theory that the occlusion plays an interactive role with the TM joints and craniofacial muscles. Unfortunately, there was no way to objectively measure the function of Occlusion, Muscles, and the TMJ's, until now.
BioRESEARCH clients and lecturers around the world use objective documentation such as the T-Scan II, BioEMG, Joint Vibration Analysis and the all new TSCAN EMG link to understand the interrelationship between the "TMJ's" Teeth, Muscles, Joints and how to balance this system into beautiful form and function.
